Midnight Project

Have you seen these adorable little matchbook albums? I was thinking matchbook size but no they are about 4 inches, a nice little brag book size. SO my little sister was having a bad day so I thought maybe I could cheer her up and make her something (sorry If your reading this before I give it to you) I found this cool little hybrid project over at Peppermint Creative and decided it was a cute idea. Here's what I ended up with.

my photo's aren't fantastic but you get the idea. It really turned out cute! I hope she likes it.
now off to bed with me. Goodnight

New Years Resolutions and a Sneak Peak!

I know I'm a little late with my New Years Resolution, but you know the saying "Better late than never" One of the biggest things I would like to accomplish in the year 2009 is to get myself more organized. I swear every drawer I own is a "junk" drawer. I can never find anything I am looking for. Sadly I have passed this gene on to my kids (my mom thinks its funny) Their teachers are always telling me how unorganized and messy they are. Good kids, just messy. So I decided to scrap about it . Here is my LO using Penny Springmann's "Garage Grunge"

I will have to keep you updated on how this is going. Not only do I think this is good for me, but I really want to help the boys do better too. In order to do that I should set a better example for them.

OK, I promised a sneak peak! Coming to soon to Gotta Pixel is an awesome new kit by Karen Lewis. Here is a LO using this new kit

I used the new Cookie Decorating Template from the challenges at Sweet Shoppe Designs.

I have been on quite a roll with my scrapping lately, which is good, but tonight I think I shall take a break. It's Grey's Anatomy night and ER. If you live in my house you know not to even bother trying to talk to me on Thursdays from 9:00pm till 11:00pm. So I'm off to eat dinner and get ready for my shows. Have a great night and stay warm!

A Challenge

Wow! two posts in one day! I don't know about you but lately I have really been struggling in the Mojo department. One way to help this is to participate in one of the many Challenges out there in Digi land. Today on the Miscellany Maniacs blog we challenge you to scrap lift our fearless leader go check it out here http://pennysmiscellany.com/blog/?p=376
I lifted Penny's "First Class" LO

and here is my take on this amazing LO! "Today in the World"

I used Julie Billingley's "Yesteryear: Shabby Baby Boy" with some elements from Kristin Cronin-Barrow's "Sweet Dream"

I thought it would be cute to have a page in my nephews album that told him a little about the day he was born.

So go check out the Maniac's Blog and join in our challenge! Its a great way to help that creativity block disappear!

Happy Tuesday!

Not that there is ever anything that exciting happening on a Tuesday, I just feel like wishing everyone a good day! Not a whole lot going on today except my mother is being rotten and sucking all the goodies out of my little nephew. He went to visit Grandma at her house today and I just know shes hogging those goodies! Speaking of cute adorable nephew I have a new scrapbook page finished up for his album. Using Julie Billingsley's "Yesteryear : Shabby Baby Boy" (from Sweet Shoppe Designs) and based from a sketch by Juli at the DigiChick. Here are my sister's first "family" picturesWell, I need to return to my never ending task of laundry. YUCK! And maybe if my family is lucky I will cook them dinner! (nah hubby can do it!)

Christmas Pictures

I promised Christmas Pictures, so that's what I have been working on. For this LO I used Penny Springmann's "Cocoa Mallow Stick" kit and her Holiday Worn Overlays.
The kiddos are opening their bikes. Well at least AJ was. Nate was opening tires that he thought were for his old bike and was really disappointed when he realized they were the wrong size. After we let him mope a little while we gave him the rest of the bike that we had hidden in the dining room and he was so excited.

Here is our tree Christmas Eve right after Santa arrived

and here we are before the kiddos got home. I really love my tree its small and personal and for the last few years that's what I needed in the small space that we had. Maybe next year we will get a bigger one and I can put one in my dining room. I guess we will see what next year brings.

He's Home!

Well after a short return stay in the hospital, Vinny is back home and doing well. His Billirubin was high so he had to be admitted last night and put under the UV lights. He got to come home today with his very own blanket as a precaution and hopefully tomorrow he will get to go with out it. He is such a sweet little guy. I was working with a new Valentine kit from Karen Lewis (to be out later this month) and decided to scrap about Vinny's first day home so here he is only three days old.

Now what I really need to be doing is scrap booking my Christmas pictures, but its so hard when this precious little guy's pictures scream scrap me! So now I promise my next post will be of my Christmas pictures.

Oh and by the way HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
